HONEY, I REARRANGED THE COLLECTION

Masterpieces and popular favourites from the collection of the Fondation Beyeler

Baselstrasse 101, 4125 Riehen Google Maps

Honey, I Rearranged the Collection features masterpieces and popular favourites from the collection of the Fondation Beyeler, displayed in new constellations. The exhibition ranges from figurative depictions to non-representational images, also covering the many no longer clearly classifiable quests for form that lie in between.

Borrowing from the title of a series of works by US-American conceptual artist Allen Ruppersberg (*1944), the exhibition features works produced from the late 19th century to the present day. Paintings, photographs, drawings and a slide projection bring into view the full variety of artistic means of expression that mutually influence one another across all distinctions in practice.

With works by Josef Albers, Leonor Antunes, Lucas Arruda, Francis Bacon, Louise Bourgeois, Paul Cézanne, Edgar Degas, Marlene Dumas, Wade Guyton, Piet Mondrian, Claude Monet, Pablo Picasso, Robert Rauschenberg, Gerhard Richter, Georges Seurat, Wolfgang Tillmans and Andy Warhol.
