Swimming in the Rhine

Swimming in the Rhine on hot summer days is incredibly refreshing and fun for good swimmers. Do it like the locals: drift down the Rhine in the gentle current between Wettsteinbrücke and Johanniterbrücke, past the picturesque old city center. You can take your dry clothes with you in a "Wickelfisch" – a waterproof swim bag shaped like a fish. They are available at the tourist information centre in Stadtcasino on Barfüsserplatz.
