Museums

Riehen exhibits.

In addition to works of art owned by the Beyeler family – mostly pictures of classical modernism and Oceanic art – the Fondation Beyeler also regularly holds major exhibitions of famous artists. For example, in 1998 artist pair Christo and Jeanne-Claude wrapped up almost 200 trees in front of the building.

The Kunst Raum Riehen, various artists’ studios in the municipality and a number of private galleries also actively carry on Riehen’s tradition as a place for artists. And there’s also something for young culture fans: for 40 years, the Toy Museum has delighted its many visitors to the historical Wettsteinhaus.

Enjoy new surprises. Riehen awaits you.
