Parks

Riehen is both a town and a natural wonder. The various large parks are green oases that can scarcely be found anywhere else with such splendour and density. It therefore comes as no surprise that the unique historic parks are also highly appreciated by the local resi-dents. The expansive green spaces also provide an impressive backdrop for all sorts of events.

Wenkenpark

The English-style park is a large, well-kept, green oasis with rare plants, extraordinary Wenkenhof villas and a cosy café.

Sarasinpark

The expansive park was designed in the style of an English landscape park and is worth visiting for that alone.

Berower Park

The park at the Fondation Beyeler is part of the historic Berower estate and is an inviting place to enjoy a pleasant stroll.

Wettsteinanlage

This park is located at the heart of the town. A place for playing and splashing around – but there are also secluded corners where you can unwind.

Wiese Landscape Park

This recreational area straddles the border along the Wiese river. Here you can jog, skate, swim, stroll and enjoy the nature.
