Art Museum Basel

The collection at the Art Museum Basel focuses on both paintings and drawings of artists from the Upper Rhine between 1400 and 1600 and on international art from the 19th to 21st century. An underground passage connects to the main building to an impressive new structure designed by Basel architects Christ & Gantenbein. Completed in 2016, it is one of the architectural highlights of the city of Basel.
