Fondation Beyeler

The Fondation Beyeler connects nature, art and architecture. The collection of works by artists from the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries is one of the most renowned worldwide. It includes pieces by Monet, Picasso and Rousseau, among others. In addition, there are regular special exhibitions with other top artists. The pieces are showcased in the museum building designed by Italian star architect Renzo Piano. The modern structure stands in an English-style park with a historic villa, ancient trees and lotus ponds. It is among the most beautiful museums in the world. The building elegantly blends in with the landscape and its extensive windows offer views of the park, corn fields, grazing cattle and sheep, and the vineyards on the foothills of the Black Forest.
