Starting point: Tram 6, Bettingerstrasse, Destination: Tram 6, Riehen Dorf I also as an App available.
Length: ca 2,8 km, Duration: ca 40 Minuten I  Places: Wettsteinanlage, Mohrhalden-anlage, Sarasinpark, Fondation Beyeler, Dorfkirche Sankt Martin, Meierhof, Spielzeugmuseum, Dorf- und Rebbaumuseum, Wettsteinhäuser.

This walking route criss-crosses Riehen’s old village centre. The starting point is Bettingerstrasse tram/bus stop. The tranquillity of the Wettsteinanlage is a pleasant contrast to the main traffic axis. The Wettstein buildings and St Martin village church are frequently photographed and often painted landmarks.

The ambience livens up again on the village playground with its play and climbing facilities and an adjoining garden restaurant. After the station underpass, you follow the Immenbächli up to the entrance of the Mohrhaldeanlage, a former cemetery. After you cross the park, you continue along Chrischonaweg to the highest point of the tour with a beautiful view over the village centre rooftops. Go past Gesundheitszentrum Riehen and the gardens of the deaconess house and continue through the music school‘s wrought-iron gates to reach the refined Sarasinpark.

A walk through Lindenallee takes you to Fondation Beyeler. Continue along the museum building and you will immediately reach the outskirts of Riehen’s agricultural landscape. The view into the distance and the area’s tranquillity make it very easy to forget the village centre’s proximity.

Alongside an old irrigation ditch, the path leads back to the centre with the old church castle and other listed buildings. The tour ends opposite the Wettstein buildings which host the Toy Museum and the Dorf- und Rebbaumuseum
